hey, goof.
don’t come here anymore. yeah.
I’m not generally that hostile, but really. I’m not going to be posting on my wordpress blog anymore. I’ve discovered tumblr, and I’m finding it much, much easier to manage. it’s also cheaper, which is awesome. I’m in the process of changing my domain right this second, so if you’ve bookmarked levihemphill.wordpress.com or subscribe via RSS/google reader and check back, there will be a link forwarding you to the new spot. if you follow me on twitter or facebook keep an eye out for the new link and some rambling I have to do.
see you soon.
happy new year!
crisis of faith
so, I learned technique with film; that’s how I started. transitioned to digital, and aside from last month, I hadn’t shot more than 2-3 rolls of film since around 2005. I can’t believe how much I missed the character of film, how much less wasted time in photoshop, and the general practices in shooting film. can’t believe I’m saying this, after advocating digital for so long, but I’m seriously considering switching back to film for the majority of my work.

I don’t know if I can return to digital
digital seems to have so much less character after getting back into film. going to upload the set from bc, so this is the last post about it. promise. stay tuned.

I’m not sure that I really like the song, but the video is pretty awesome.
I FORGET WHERE THIS IS
just kidding. I can’t sleep tonight ’cause the lab lost 4 rolls of film. all I got back were shots from cathedral grove and whistler, which I also shot with digital. so, I don’t get to share how awesome Tofino was.
